Homemade thin crust pizza

DSC_0610

Yesterday was a really relaxing sunday and I planned on making some home made pizza. I´m a real fan of really thin crust pizza and yesterday I made three trays- I always make more in order to freeze some of it. This can be really convenient if you are in a hurry, can´t cook or just feel like having some homemade pizza. It´s healthy!

Enjoy,

Nadja.

This is what you will need for preparing your dough

makes two trays of pizza or 4 round pizzas

  • 500g flour
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 package (1 tbs.) of  yeast
  • 250 ml water
  • olive oil to brush

Combine flour, yeast and salt in a huge bowl. Add water and start kneading with your hands or use a food processor for kneading your dough (about 5 minutes). When using your hands knead for around 10 minutes until dough is smooth and elastic. Form a ball and brush with 1-2 tbs. of olive oil. Set aside and let rest for an hour covered by a kitchen towel. After letting your dough rest, roll it out thin until size of your baking trays or form small balls which you will then form to round pizzas.

Brush tomato sauce onto your pizza dough, set on baking trays and use your favorite toppings such as:

  • mozzarella cheese
  • ham
  • corn
  • olives
  • mushrooms
  • tomatoes
  • peppers, artichokes,….
  • and of course pizza spice and oregano

Bake in oven at 180° C for about 20 minutes.
