Up on Youtube-How to make cake pops

I just uploaded my first video on our youtube and vimeo channel and it´s now available to watch. It´s a stop motion movie, which means it isn´t filmed but consists of many many pictures, exactly 1587 pictures. It was so much fun to make  with my dear friend Magdalena! Thank you again. Making cake pops seems to be more work than it actually is and to show you how easy homemade cake pops can be, I made this video for you! Cake pops are really yummy and don´t really taste like cake (for those who haven´t tried them), they taste more moist and fudgy, simply delicious!

This is the recipe

  • 2 eggs
  • 100 g sugar
  • 50 g dark chocolate
  • 50 g butter
  • 1 tbs. orange juice
  • 120 g flour
  • 1/4 tsp. baking soda
  • 3 tbs. cocoa powder
  • zest of one orange
  • 200 g white chocolate for coating
Mix eggs with sugar until creamy. Melt chocolate and butter over simmering water. Combine to whisked eggs and add orange juice.
Combine flour, orange zest, cocoa powder and baking soda and fold in egg mixture using a whisk.

3 Spread dough on a parchment paper covered tray and bake in oven for about 20 minutes. Cut dough into squares and let them cool out. Then crumble up squares in a bowl.
4 Combine 100g of butter, 100g of cream cheese, 2 tbs. of rum and 50g of powdered sugar in a bowl and mix until well combined. Add wet ingredients to dry ingredients and stir until smooth. Form little balls, add cake pop sticks in each cake pop. And refrigerate for about 15 minutes.
5 Melt white chocolate and dip each cake pop into melted chocolate. Sprinkle with chocolate sprinkles and serve!
