Banana cinnamon&maple oatmeal

Today I made this wonderful banana raspberry cinnamon and maple oatmeal for breakfast. Oatmeal is a very filling breakfast which provides high levels of protein and fiber. The thing I love most about oatmeal that it is really yummy on one hand but on the other hand also fills you up until lunch and stops cravings. You can prepare oatmeal in many different ways and flavors. My favorites are apple cinnamon and blueberry/raspberry banana and maple oatmeal. DSC_1551

This is what you will need:

  • 1 cup of oats
  • 1 1/2 cups of milk
  • 1 tsp. of cinnamon
  • 2 tbs. maple syrup
  • a pinch of salt
  • 1 banana
  • berries

Combine oats, milk and salt in a medium saucepan on medium heat. Let simmer for about 5 minutes, stirring often, so the bottom won´t burn. Add maple syrup and cinnamon, serve in little bowl and garnish with fruit!

Have a great morning!

      1. I make all of my own plant-based milks but do not like soy milks too much. I love almond, cashew or sunflower seeds milk in here! xxx

      2. Oh ok great, I don´t like soy milk very much either! 🙂 But I´ll use almond milk or rice milk 🙂 Haven´t tried almond milk yet, is it similar to rice milk?

      3. almond milk is better than rice milk, because I find rice milk too thin, just like oat milk! Almond milk is much more creamier, in my opinion!
